Business requirements and Technical challenges:
When Asia Maritime Pacific contacted Dual Layer they were frustrated with the level of service they were receiving from another IT outsourcing vendor. Problems were going unresolved, and the company did not appear to be able to solve any outstanding issues. The company was experiencing ongoing issues with both email and networking servers. It was apparent that the overall IT infrastructure and network design was not setup correctly and could not support the company's daily needs. This resulted in continuous issues on a daily basis.
Solution:
Dual Layer was able to come in and immediately diagnose the problems, and provide a solution. Dual Layer reconfigured the entire system and purchase and deployed Microsoft Exchange 2007. They provided a secure VPN connection for the offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. DLIT also installed a Blackberry Enterprise Server. The Dual team handles all problems including the telephone system, and is currently assisting with the relocation needs of the company. Videoconferencing will be installed in the near future. Dual provides CARE IT Total+ for Hong Kong office, and manages all the Shanghai servers remotely. Dual oversees all hardware procurement and manages the company asset inventory.
