Same industry, same high standard

Hedge funds, private equity firms, asset managers and brokers work under the same SFC and MAS guidelines and face the same threats: fake payment requests, account takeover and leaked documents.

They also share the same pressure: systems that must work every minute the market is open, and investors, banks and regulators who expect clear answers about how IT is secured.

We act as your IT and security team, so your people can focus on the business.

  • Support in your time zone

Service desk support in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Hindi/Urdu.

Who we work with

One team and one standard of care, with the details that matter to each kind of firm.

What financial firms need from IT

Four things come up with almost every firm we talk to.

A typical financial firm setup

How the pieces fit together in an office we build and look after. Every firm is different — this is an example, planned with you before anything is installed.

A typical financial firm setupA high-availability design. Each market data provider (Bloomberg, Reuters, brokers and exchanges) brings two lines on separate paths, and two internet providers carry the cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, cloud phones and the compliance archive). Every line ends on a pair of WAN switches, cross-connected to a pair of firewalls (active and standby) and a pair of core switches, which serve the trading floor, server room, meeting rooms, Wi-Fi and remote staff. Backups are kept off-site in the cloud, and a SIEM with 24/7 monitoring collects logs from every layer. Swipe sideways to see the whole diagram. A standard high-availability design: every line and device on the way into the office comes in pairs and is cross-connected, so one failure does not stop trading. Firewall zones follow NIST SP 800-41 (Guidelines on Firewalls and Firewall Policy). Market data and trading systems belong to their vendors; we look after the connections and the support on your side.

What we do for financial firms

Take the whole service, or the parts you need. Each one is described in full on its own page.

Licensed by the SFC or MAS?

Our controls are built on recognised frameworks — ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF and CIS — and mapped to the SFC’s cybersecurity guidelines in Hong Kong and MAS guidelines in Singapore.

We help you keep the policies, records and evidence that show how your IT is run, and review them with you as your firm and the guidelines change.

Questions from financial firms

Can’t find what you are looking for? Ask a consultant and we’ll come back to you.

Which financial firms do you work with?

Hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms, asset and wealth managers, securities brokers and family offices, from start-ups launching a fund to established firms with offices in several countries.

Do you support Bloomberg, Reuters and trading platforms?

Yes, on your side. These systems are run by their vendors; we look after the connectivity, integration with your network and devices, and routine support for your users, and work with the vendor when something needs their help.

Can you handle communications recording?

Yes. Calls can now be recorded in the cloud, so you need no recording equipment in the office. We set up call recording and keep email, Teams and messaging in a searchable compliance archive, then support it day to day.

Can you help with due-diligence questionnaires?

Yes. We help you answer the IT and cybersecurity questions from prime brokers, investors, banks and consultants, and prepare the policies and evidence behind your answers.

Our firm is licensed by the SFC. Can you help with cybersecurity?

Yes. Our controls are built on ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF and CIS, and mapped to the SFC’s cybersecurity guidelines. See IT compliance audits.

Yes. We plan and set up devices, Microsoft 365, network, phones and security for the launch, so the team can work from day one. See New Office IT Setup.

Yes. We look at its systems, security and suppliers and give you a short, plain-language report with the main risks and what fixing them would involve.

Yes. Many financial firms have no IT staff of their own. We act as the IT and security team, with one number to call.
